Overview

This is a hybrid Senior Project Manager cum Front End Developer position as the role would require the incumbent to be able to toggle between the two when necessary.

As Senior Interactive Project Manager (SPM), the incumbent would work closely with the Client's Interactive Team to implement campaigns in South Korea. The SPM is expected to lead and manage digital projects while bringing together a multi-disciplinary team comprising of internal and external resources as required. He/she would need to provide an optimum interactive solution for the client that answers the brief within all the necessary specified style and technical guidelines. 

He/she will work closely with Front-End Developers, Production Designers and QA Engineers on a day-to-day basis and will also need to engage with other cross-functional teams of project managers to ensure work is delivered on time, on quality and within budget.

The Senior Interactive PM’s primary task is to lead his/her team and that includes creating structure and processes that support the development of excellent work. He/She will manage quarterly planning efforts to align resources and funding, to prioritize, manage budgets and distribute workload. 

The incumbent would also be expected to build/modify responsive web pages using HTML, CSS, JavaScript, etc. based on the visual briefs. Working on the localization of the page(s) based on the assets provided, the front end development work would include updating links, images, and text in accordance to the client’s coding standards. As a senior in the team, you will be responsible for the quality of code produced directly by yourself and your appointed team of developers.

You will work closely with other discipline leads (QA/PM) to ensure scoping, estimates and requirements are estimated correctly and delivered with minimal errors.

Responsibilities

  • Set and manage client expectations while coordinating and ensuring all parties follow the agreed workflows
  • Build strong, trusting relationships with all key stakeholders, function leads, cross-functional project managers, senior managers, and third-party vendors that are directly involved with the work
  • Manage the approval of quarterly budgets, flagging important budget fluctuations to the client and line manager
  • Draft, prepare and present timelines, documents, and presentations and reports both to the client and to the team
  • Ensure that the line manager is always aware of all client issues and proposed solutions (including potential delays) to ensure swift resolution and avoid further escalation
  • Ensure your account consistently delivers against all contractual obligations including SLAs and KPIs
  • Act as a brand QC/Guardian – always ensure brand guidelines, QC checklists and procedures are followed
  • Keep GAD and FD informed of any circumstances which would positively or negatively affect forecasts
  • Ensure full compliance with all financial procedure and policies
  • Organise teamwork, create balanced work schedule and ensure people are able to deliver results
  • Ensure understanding of the contractual obligations, commercial arrangements and SLAs of the accounts and ensure specific details are understood by the wider team where relevant
  • Identify training requirements for team members to ensure their adherence to processes and workflow
  • Plan resources for overseas projects and work with talent manager and GAD on new recruitment needs
  • Plan, prepare and implement the induction of new starters from the Interactive team.
  • Develop new digital assets as identified by supervisor and management
  • Modify existing code to accommodate for a locale – including changing image paths, server-side includes (SSI), file names, directories, other elements, and other development tasks 

  • Ensure all your work is performed according to the brief and minimum requirements for each client
  • Develop fast and efficiently to meet tight deadlines
  • Maintain client digital assets to the best of your ability using clean, accessible mark-up according to the latest web standards
  • Update and amend existing assets

Qualifications

  • A bachelor’s degree in a relevant field and a minimum of 7 years solid Project Management experience in a similar capacity
  • Experience as a Project Manager and/or front end developer in an advertising/digital agency
  • Very high competence in project management software such as Microsoft Project and Omniplan
  • Extensive experience in costing, quotations and project scope definition
  • Excellent communication skills to different target groups within the project team, management and clients
  • Analytical and detailed in project documentation, accountability and tracking
  • Pragmatic, team player with excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Understanding of brands and brand challenges
  • The ability to function productively in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment
  • High level of IT literacy, including use of spreadsheets
  • Strong numeracy skills
  • Prioritization, time management, and attention to detail
  • Resilience and ability to work under pressure
  • Excellent communication skills, written and verbal Korean and English
  • Strong interpersonal skills
  • Highly organised, detail oriented, customer focused, and proactive
  • Strong Subversion skills (command-line)
  • Strong understanding and experience of branch management, continuous integration and agile approach
  • Experience of working ticketing systems such as JIRA and how to break down tasks
  • Experience of establishing code standards and best practice within development teams
  • Expertise of FE pre-processing (Sass and Browserify)
  • Expertise in web languages and standard technologies, including version control systems (SVN and GIT), repositories, and build tools (Grunt, Gulp)
  • Expertise in HTML/HTML5, CSS/CSS3, and JavaScript/JQuery
  • Good JS debugging skills
  • Experience with localization processes
  • Responsive development experience
  • Experience working with Front-End Frameworks (Bootstrap, Foundation)
  • Image manipulation software (Photoshop, Fireworks) and able to slice elements out of a PSD
  • Accessible and SEO based coding
  • Self-starter who is able to hand-code front-end NOT using any WYSIWYG tools like Dreamweaver and keen to learn new technologies
  • Clear understanding of Usability
  • Proficient in developing to W3C Standards
  • Knowledge of the challenges of Email newsletter builds
  • Progressive enhancement and graceful degradation
  • Experience in working with Bash shell
  • Experience with optimization for mobile devices and familiarity with responsive and adaptive methods
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Possess technical understanding of mobile and web technologies necessary to run projects and convey details. Examples would be:

    • eCommerce/Shopping Carts
    • Social Media Strategies/Platforms
  • Familiarity with creative production and development tools is always an advantage. Such software includes Adobe Creative Suite, BBEdit, SVN, Github, Esclipse, DreamWeaver, Final Cut Pro and others. In addition, familiarity with mobile and web platforms and ecosystems would also be advantageous
  • Must be able to travel as required, sometimes for several weeks at a time
