What we want:

Accounting team is looking for a dynamic individual to join our General Ledger team.  You will support the Accounting Manager with the month-end close process, Cartesis reporting input, balance sheet reconciliations, and oversee the intercompany process.

Responsibilities

What you’ll do:

  • Assist the Accounting Manager in the month-end close 
  • Provide analysis on monthly expenses incurred vs. prior 12-month trend, prepare accruals or reclasses as needed
  • Work closely with AP team to ensure that invoices received in month are accrued for as needed
  • Prepare balance sheet reconciliations as directed by the Accounting Manager
  • Assist the Accounting Manager in the preparation of Cartesis upload schedules
  • Manage the acquisition of assets to the Fixed Assets ledger, prepare monthly depreciation entry
  • Reconcile the Prepaid account and prepare corresponding entry
  • Preparation of journal entries as needed
  • Understand and manage the intercompany process; includes monthly upload and reporting in ICS, preparation of monthly statements for partners, preparation of reconciliation and explanations of variances in reported balances vs. partner, and work closely with the AP team to ensure invoices are entered in timely manner and to monthly deadlines
  • Assist with SOX and IA audits as needed
  • Ad hoc analyses and projects as needed

Qualifications

What you'll have:

  • Experience in general ledger accounting
  • Must be able to multi-task and meet deadlines with fast turnaround
  • Must be a team player
  • Detail oriented and highly organized
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel
  • Clear understanding of debits and credits
  • Ability to analyze and prepare entries as needed for review (ability to work autonomously); must be able to communicate reason for entry
  • Must be able to communicate in a clear and concise manner
  • Experience working in a fast paced, high volume environment
