From developing pricing strategies for new business opportunities to driving existing client profitability, the Director of Commercial Finance is at the heart of everything Hogarth does. Working throughout the organization and with global clients, the Director of Commercial Finance ultimately creates efficiencies while maintaining profitability. The Director of Commercial Finance will work closely with and become an advisor to senior management and must be knowledgeable of the market place with strong negotiation skills. 

Responsibilities

What you’ll do:

  • Partner with Financial Lead and Managing Director on business initiatives that will impact the overall growth of the operation
  • Provide insight to Client Leads on Revenue Analysis
  • Develop and execute strategies to improve both top and bottom line performance (e.g. pricing strategies, offshoring)
  • Work closely with senior management, as well as with WPP sister agencies, to execute methodology for new business opportunities
  • Attend new business pitches, presenting commercial models to local and global clients
  • Lead contract negotiations; balancing financial, commercial & legal agendas to reach the best resolution (e.g. payment terms, lead times, SLAs, liabilities, IP rights)
  • Create and maintain contract database for all of Hogarth Clients
  • Develop and review standardized rate card
  • Assist in execution of clients SLA’s and reporting
  • Manage and develop a team, ensuring a consistent professional service is delivered to internal and external clients
  • Drive account profitability by managing cost base and looking for internal efficiencies
  • Provide business development support to global offices
  • Be knowledgeable of global tax implications for multiple regions

Qualifications

What you’ll have:

  • At least 7 – 9 years experience of working in a commercial or financial role
  • Production/marketing/advertising industry background would be beneficial, but not essential
  • Extensive analytical, financial modelling, and budget planning experience required; pricing experience preferred
  • Experience of global organizations and working with foreign currencies
  • Confident presentation & communication skills, comfortable working with all levels of management
  • Proactive and results driven problem solver
  • A team player attitude
