Overview

The Finance Director (FD) has overall financial responsibility for Hogarth Worldwide’s New York business. The FD will be responsible for enhancing financial processes, systems, and infrastructure that will allow the operation to continue to grow and meet it’s financial goals. The FD reports into the President, Americas.

Responsibilities

Responsibilities:

Manage and oversee all financial and business planning activities including:

  • Ultimate responsibility for the NY P&L, Balance Sheet, budgets and financial planning and analysis
  • Work with the President and the Board to develop short-term and long-range planning to support strategic business goals
  • Oversee business policies, compliance, and accounting practices
  • Lead and support the organizational budgeting process
  • Review, enhance and implement new systems and processes that support a growing business model, including time reporting, estimating, and financial management tools
  • Oversee reporting and monitoring of organizational performance metrics
  • Present relevant financial data to the President, the Hogarth Board, and WPP
  • Ensure client financial activities are consistent, profitable, and meet client and Hogarth objectives
  • Ensure compliance with SOX, government reporting, tax requirements and WPP financial practices
  • Oversee the development and negotiation of client contracts and agreements including MSAs, KPIs, and SLAs in collaboration with account management
  • Support and advise the President and management team in decision making

  • Oversee risk management and legal activities: letters of agreement, contracts, leases, and other legal documents and agreements
  • Manage the procurement and monitoring of our business insurance
  • Establish and manage relationships with senior agency partners within WPP and with clients
  • Participate in the successful integration of various joint ventures
  • Manage all finance staff and ensure their professional development
  • Contribute to Hogarth Worldwide NY office and JV culture by exhibiting ownership, professionalism, passion and leading by example

Qualifications

Job requirements:

  • Minimum of ten years of experience in business management, finance, planning, and staff management
  • Must have managed a growing operation and have in-depth experience in agency or production environments in a senior finance role
  • College graduate or equivalent experience; MBA preferred
  • Public accounting experience
  • Outstanding interpersonal, verbal and written communications skills
  • Effective problem-solving and mediation skills
  • Excellent client relationship management skills
  • Demonstrated ability to share skills and knowledge with others
  • Demonstrated ability to work in a fast - paced office setting
  • Proven ability to cope with conflict, stress and crisis situations
