  • Overview

    The Business Affairs Talent Manager is responsible for managing all legal, business, and financial aspects of Hogarth NY's broadcast, print, and digital productions. The Business Affairs Manager will administer all production agreements with service providers and negotiate both SAG and Non-Union talent agreements. The Business Affairs Manager also oversees day-to-day management of production costs and estimates, contract review/auditing and production-related billing, manage relationships with talent payroll vendors (Extreme Reach, Team, etc...) The Business Affairs Manager reports to the Director of Business Affairs.



    • Prepare all talent contracts, including standard SAG and over-scale contracts, as well as non-union and print/still model agreements
    • Estimate and negotiate talent costs for all areas of production, including coordinating with production team to secure any additional rights required outside of the primary production
    • Prepare production estimates for review by cost consultant and client approval
    • Create vendor production/service agreements; negotiate changes and addendums to agreements in accordance with Hogarth Worldwide and Client policies
    • Process and approve purchase orders and invoices, as well as coordinate with Accounts Payable department for vendor payment
    • Gather all third-party rights clearances and licenses (including music, stock images, fonts, etc.)
    • Review creative for any possible legal issues, unauthorized talent use, 3rd party rights clearance, and licensing (Music, Props, Images, Logos, etc.…) and work closely with Director of Business Affairs and Legal Team in resolving and avoiding potential liabilities for agency and clients
    • Coordinate with producers in preparing completion reports and job reconciliation for final billing
    • Track and maintain records for all third-party licenses and talent releases.
    • Contribute to Hogarth Worldwide NY office agency culture by exhibiting ownership, professionalism, passion and leading by example


    • Thorough understanding of SAG, AFTRA, and AFM rules, talent payment guidelines, and Non-Union Talent
    • 3-5 years of agency and broadcast talent experience
    • Related college degree
    • Strong negotiating skills
    • Must be commercially astute and able to work in a fast-paced, fluid environment
    • Knowledge of Maconomy a plus
