  • Overview

    The Senior Transcreation Account Manager (STAM) is responsible for project managing localization work for the clients Marketing Communications (Marcom) team. The STAM works closely with the client's Marcom Project Manager and a network of transcreation talents/linguists from various markets. 

     

    The incumbent would need to engage with other cross-functional teams of producers and project managers to ensure work is delivered on time, on quality and within budget. Constant need to communicate and negotiate priorities and deadlines with internal and external teams to ensure expectations are well managed are required. Primary tasks include organizing and coordinating schedules, distributing workload, tracking progress of projects and allocated budget. 

     

    You will be responsible for project managing localization projects (incl. Transcreation of headlines) ensuring good communication with all stakeholders.  

     

    You will focus on building strong relationships with our Talent Network and briefing new projects accurately. Strong organization and time management skills are required, when managing clients, together with a focus on quality. 

    Responsibilities

    Validator Network Management 

    • Ensure a thorough understanding of the contractual obligations, commercial arrangements, SOW and SLAs of the account and ensure specific details are understood by the wider team where relevant 
    • Lead a team for projects (both local and overseas)
    • Manage a network of linguists and ensure they are motivated to perform 
    • Coordinate weekly status meetings/monthly review sessions 
    • Organize teamwork, create a balanced work schedule and ensure work is of high standards and delivered on time 
    • Flag any potential team issues to the line manager and be actively involved in finding a solution 
    • Review talent performance and drive constant performance improvement by working closely with talent manager and providing regular feedback on all talent  
    • Review team structure and resource on an ongoing basis to ensure client is serviced appropriately whilst maintaining agreed profitability 
    • Highlight and resolve quality control issues with the network 
    • Look at process and service improvements across the Network (recruitment, tracking and workflow) 
    • Ensure that there is a clear division and allocation of workload and briefs among team members and validators 
    • Support on recruitment requirements across validators 
    • Conduct training and onboard new talent where required

     

    Project & Account Management 

    • Coordinate and ensure all parties follow the agreed workflows and manage them through the process 
    • Work alongside and support clients when briefing and tracking projects through to completion 
    • Lead junior member(s) in the team to constantly improve their work and motivate them 
    • Ensure that there is clear division and allocation of workload among team members 
    • Ensure that trackers are updated at all times 
    • Monitor timelines and manage client expectations 
    • Monitor budget utilization and flag potential issues 
    • Monitor internal workflows and identify areas for improvement 
    • Advise line manager on resource gaps and flag potential issues 
    • Plan resources for large overseas projects and inform talent manager and line manager of new recruitment needs 
    • Work closely with talent manager in delivering recruitment briefs on time 
    • Ensure account delivers consistently against all contractual obligations including SLAs and KPIs  
    • Identify bottle necks/pain points for the validation network and suggest resolution  
    • Identify training requirements for team members to ensure their adherence to processes and workflow 
    • Plan, prepare and implement the induction of new starters 
    • Lead overseas projects for up to 4 weeks (2–3 times per year) 

     

    Finance Management 

    • Quarterly planning 
    • Regular budget spend reports – monitor and analyse progression of spends  
    • Flag important budget fluctuations, peaks to the Client and line manager and track spend progress 
    • Monthly financial reconciliation 
    • Ensure full compliance with all financial procedures and policies 

     

    Client Management 

    • Co-ordinate between all relevant parties: Hogarth team, Client traffic and cross-functional teams and Validation network 
    • Set and manage client expectations for deliverables and timeframes 
    • Understand and work under the confidentiality policy 
    • Build strong, trusting relationships with all key client stakeholders 

    Qualifications

    • A minimum of 6 years' Project Management/Traffic background experience preferred in an ad agency or in-house creative department  
    • Experience in budget management/ financial responsibilities 
    • Demonstrable experience in managing large scale and complex projects 
    • Experience managing multi-language and multi-market projects 
    • Experience working on global brands, ideally across all media, including print, interactive and film 
    • Demonstrable experience managing total creative workflow, i.e. internal briefing, briefing to vendors/studios, managing key milestones / deadlines, presentations / internal approvals, executions, delivery 
    • Proven project management skills 
    • Self-driven, organized and have an eye for detail 
    • Proficient with technology and tools 
    • Ability to work effectively and collaboratively in high-pressure situations and tight time frames 
    • A hands-on, can do approach to solving problems 
    • Fluent written and spoken English. Native-level fluency in any other language would be advantageous.
    • Must be able to travel as required, sometimes several weeks at a time
