    Role summary:

    Our Production team here in Sunnyvale is growing rapidly. We are seeking a number of Mechanical Artist to join us at an exciting time for Hogarth Worldwide. As a Mechanical Artist you will be working on mechanicals for our client to be viewed by the world. The successful candidate will have extensive knowledge of all aspects of print production design and be working alongside a talented team which consists of Technical and Creative mechanical artists, Designers and Project Managers. On a daily basis, you'll be working in a fast-paced, fun environment, producing print ready mechanicals. This is a role for a collaborative individual who is highly organized, extremely detail oriented, and capable of working with high expectations within flexible and demanding deadlines.

    Responsibilities

     

    Key responsibilities:

    • Works with Creative Design and other Production Artists within the studio to implement and refine content across a range of mechanical sizes and languages
    • Appreciation, adherence and enforcement of Hogarth key policies
    • Communicate with all stakeholders articulately, sharing and documenting any issues or knowledge to ensure consistency
    • Complete relevant checklists for all tasks that are assigned to you (if applicable)
    • Creates and updates mechanical templates with new specifications
    • Creates design adaptations at different aspect ratios and scales
    • Creates additional layouts with Creative direction
    • Manage a high volume workload, including foreign language versions
    • Create image comps for placement for design or production direction
    • Create static web banners, web pages and digital email marketing

    Qualifications

    Requirements:

    • A minimum of 3 years’ experience
    • Ideally possess the equivalent qualification e.g. BA (Hons) Print Media/ Graphic Design
    • You ideally will have a Prepress background
    • Competent in key Creative Suite programs to an intermediate level
    • Be proactive in keeping skills up-to-date and drive self-improvement
    • Prioritization, time management and attention to detail
    • Strong interpersonal skills
    • Expert level in the following design tools: Adobe InDesign, Illustrator, and Photoshop
    • Communicates fully, effectively, and diplomatically, exhibits proactive, solution-oriented thinking
    • Clear understanding of scale and proportion relating to multiple size iterations
    • Comfortable working in a high pressure studio environment
