  • Overview

    The Integrated Business Affairs Manager is responsible for managing Hogarth's integrated talent functions and works closely with the Production and Business Affairs staff to manage all talent-related matters. The responsibilities include day-to-day management of talent-related issues, keep track of all talent residuals/re-use and 3rd party rights once a production wraps, and manage relationship with talent payment vendors. This role reports to the Director of Business Affairs.

    Responsibilities

    • Estimate and negotiate residual fees for SAG and Non-Union talent in the United States and abroad
    • Work with Business Affairs Manager and Producers to ensure accuracy of all signed talent contracts, 3rd party rights licenses, and completion reports.
    • Collaborate with internal agency partners to manage talent needs of local, regional, national, and global accounts and prepare quarterly talent re-use estimates, or as required per client
    • Communicate with Account Teams/Clients on all rights management issues/questions after a production wraps to ensure all content/materials’ rights are current
    • Ongoing review of talent process and practices with an eye toward enhancing profitability and improving effectiveness
    • Advise internal agency partners and other Hogarth offices on best practices regarding talent management, usage processes, and the competitive landscape
    • Liaise with traffic team and advise on all current and future use of materials requiring Traffic’s involvement

    Qualifications

    • 5+ years of agency and broadcast talent experience
    • Related college degree
    • Thorough understanding of SAG-AFTRA and AFM rules, talent payment guidelines of both foreign and domestic talent
    • Knowledge of Maconomy a plus
    • Experience in working with Print talent a plus, but not required
    • Must be commercially astute and able to work in a fast-paced, fluid environment
