  • Overview

    We are looking for Production Support Engineers for our new Chennai operation in India. The Chennai operation will be a strategically important large-scale production hub that services all of our global hubs.

    Responsibilities

    • The primary function of the Production Support Engineer is to is to provide on-site / remote support to production staff at studios throughout Chennai and India.
    • The role will be required to work on a flexible rotation, being available onsite during business hours on weekdays, including telephone support and regular onsite support at weekends and for other out of hours production work, including any on-call / rotation system that is required.

     

    Qualifications

    • Provide 1st and 2nd line technical support for Hogarth Production Teams
    • Setup new workstations for broadcast, print and digital production environments using JAMF Pro software
    • Support, maintain, administer and troubleshoot media production equipment and systems
    • Escalate issues to more experienced members of the team when required
    • Answer production helpdesk ticketing system and provide technical support for desktop issues
    • Complete project work set by the team manager

     

    Occasionally, you will be required to perform a task that is mainly performed by the Desktop Support Technicians. This may include:

     

    • AV boardroom support and VIP support
    • Provide technical support to non-production users

     

     

    Skills Required:

    • Good experience of Mac support. Troubleshooting, Installation & Maintenance of Mac machines
    • Good working knowledge of Adobe Creative Cloud
    • General ‘can-do’ service attitude
    • Excellent time management skills and multi-tasking abilities within tight deadlines
    • Excellent communication skills
    • Effective problem solving, ability to recognise root cause and identify ways to overcome them
    • Understanding of basic networking, server, storage & virtualization concepts to support L0/L1 level
    • 3 years plus experience in OS X
    • Experience in a media/creative production environment preferred
    • Knowledge of ARD / Microsoft Remote Desktop preferred
    • Preferably Apple certified Macintosh technician (ACMT)
