    The Department:

    The UK Digital Department scopes, designs and delivers engaging and high quality online experiences for global brands. We work in collaboration with their creative and strategic agency partners to create meaningful digital communications aimed at their UK and global customer bases. We work with our internal teams and partners to fulfil large scale global digital projects. As part of the team, you will be responsible for the creation of brand sites, mobile and tablet applications, and CRM integrations. You will find the department a friendly, vibrant and dedicated team – focused on delivering for our clients


    The Role:

    The role of the Digital Project Manager is to plan, document, execute and complete large scale global digital projects according to strict deadlines and within budget. This includes inhouse and offshore briefing and coordinating the efforts of team members and third-party contractors or consultants in order to deliver projects according to plan.


    In addition to this The Project Manager will need to be self-sufficient and must possess a solid understanding of both the Project Lifecycle and Project Management best practices. They may also be required to train and mentor more junior members of the team along the way.


    The successful candidate will need to work closely with all digital departments within the practice. This means that they will need to be able to communicate intelligently and effectively with Creative, Technical, Account Management and Senior Leaders. As such, must have exceptional written and verbal communication skills as well experience of large scale digital project deliveries. 


    • Be an internal source of expertise in the digital project management field and respond swiftly and concisely to any questions or queries
    • Emphasis on best practice project management techniques
    • Management of projects with at least £250K budget
    • Manage and optimise internal workflow to ensure/increase productivity
    • Initiating projects including scope, budget and schedule
    • Project execution including scope change, briefing, burn rate and progress tracking
    • Project closure documentation
    • Support and mentor team members
    • Attend internal meetings as a representative of the Digital production team as and when required
    • Represent Hogarth to the client and other third party partners


    All Project Managers must have proven experience of the following competencies:

    • Scope Management: The ability to control the work included in a project, ensuring that all the work that has been scoped and budgeted can be delivered
    • Time Management: The ability to ensure timely completion of projects, including activity (task) definition and sequencing processes
    • Cost Management: The ability to plan, estimate and control costs so that the project can be completed within the approved budget. This includes resource planning, cost budgeting and project reconciliation
    • Quality Management: The ability to ensure that project delivery meets the quality needs for which the project as defined by both best practice and client expectations
    • Resource Management: The ability to task manage globally distributed project teams; this includes aligning on project objectives and goals, defining roles in the project and assigning project team members to those roles
    • Communications Management: The ability to link people (including team members and stakeholders), ideas, and information throughout a project life cycle
    • Risk Management: The ability to identify, analyse, and properly respond to project risks
    • SCRUM: The ability to use the methods of Scrum in management projects
    • Client Servicing: The ability to manage client needs through the entire project lifecycle
    • Organisation: The ability to juggle a varied workload and to prioritise time effectively
    • 5+ Years Project Management Experience
    • Experience of working in (preferably large) digital agencies on large global accounts
    • Experience of working in a decoupled environment and collaborating effectively with other third party agencies
    • Strong knowledge of Content Management and CRM systems (Experience with Drupal, .NET systems, Dynamics would be ideal)
    • Experience of delivering large master and localization web site projects
    • Passion for and understanding of internet technologies is as must
    • Management of globally distributed project teams


    Desirable Skills (not a pre-requisite but would be advantageous): 

    • Cross-office and international project management
    • Language - Knowledge of a foreign language
    • Copy Writing - Copy Writing/ Editing, particularly of technical documentation
    • Test Management & Execution – Understanding of QA practices
    • Experience of delivering app builds
    • Experience of delivering CRM integrations
