  • Overview

    We are currently seeking a talented and experienced HR Advisor to provide employee relations and project support. This is a unique role that will allow the right candidate to support a variety of functions and responsibilities. This role will provide support to the assigned HR Business Partner in managing all HR challenges impacting our employees and business.



    • Provide advice to line managers on straightforward day-to-day issues such as sickness and poor performance keeping the assigned HR Business Partner informed.
    • Manage the probation period administration, ensure timely notification to managers of impending deadlines, highlight any issues on returned documentation to the assigned HR Business Partner, ensure probation checks are carried out and documentation is signed and filed as appropriate.
    • Support the assigned HR Business Partner in the management of the annual performance management process.
    • Work in partnership with the operational management teams to identify opportunities and areas of improvement to support improved organisational and people performance in line with business needs
    • Build relationships with key stakeholders across assigned business units ensuring the best in class HR advice is provided at all times
    • Manage the timely communication of written changes to terms & conditions of employment (e.g. promotions, job title changes etc.) with the appropriate authorisation
    • Conduct Exit interviews and summarise main feedback to be presented to the assigned HR Business Partner and HR Manager on a monthly basis
    • Ensure staff handbook and policies are kept up to date in line with changing legislation
    • Manage maternity & paternity process for assigned business units


    • Support HR Manager in developing and producing Management Metrics pack and setting up a standard suite of reports from the HR system e.g. holiday balances, sick leave, attrition stats
    • Ad hoc reporting as required


    • Drive and deliver HR initiatives to support business needs, in line with HR agenda
    • Manage and deliver allocated projects, providing regular updates to assigned HR Business Partner and HR Manager
    • Provide support to HR Manager and Group HR Director as and when required

    Learning & Development

    • Provide support to team in developing learning solutions including a training curriculum and coordination of the internal training programme for allocated business units
    • Provide coaching and guidance to managers, working with them to develop leadership skills


    • Possesses an understanding of the organisation and how decisions are made. Building an understanding of the integral steps associated with developing strategic solutions. Assists with the delivery and implementation of HR projects/initiatives.
    • Has developed effective relationships with both employees and management across assigned business units and wider organisation. Attuned to both employee and business expectations. Displays a good level of self-awareness and emotional intelligence.
    • Builds sustainable relationships of trust and credibility based on effective delivery, which leads to engagement with a people-focused business model of HR across the organisation. Assists with the development and implementation of HR projects/initiatives that will encourage greater commitment and engagement from employees and key stakeholders across designated business units.
    • Displays an awareness of financial performance of the organisation. Adopts a cost effective approach to delivery of HR initiatives.
    • Displays a growing awareness of employment law and its application to the organisation’s policies and processes to achieve legal compliance. Developing judgement through experience in the use of HR practices in day-to-day business scenarios. Understands the importance of professional development to build and maintain HR skills at an acceptable level which is relevant and current.
    • Understands the link between business processes and HR policies/practices, and works with peers to design solutions. Contributes proposed solutions for small to medium level issues across assigned business units.
    • Communicates effectively with stakeholders both written and verbally. Demonstrates advanced listening and multi-tasking skills which allows for independent working and a more considered approach to tasks. Participates in meetings and offers relevant insights and guidance of HR policies/practices. Developing ability to read body language and manage emotions in formal & informal proceedings.
    • Developing coaching skills. Demonstrates an ability to engage diverse groups of people and positively influence those around them (team and individuals in designated business units).
    • Collaborates with cross functional teams to deliver goals/initiatives, by coordinating project teams to achieve initiatives.
    • Considers the bigger picture, re-framing obstacles by seeking input and points of view from a wide range of resources, then delivers practical solutions. Seeks or creates opportunities to test new ideas or initiatives to enhance the employee experience.
