Our award-winning talent in VFX, Colour Grading, Editing, Sound design and production sit under one roof to provide end to end services for the advertising and creative industries. We collaborate with our clients to craft campaigns across multiple platforms and disciplines, adopting an innovative and agile approach to creative and post-production processes.

    Responsibilities

    You will be joining the data lab department, an integral role which is responsible for supporting and assisting all of our operators, ensuring all incoming and outgoing media maintains the highest standard of quality and troubleshooting operational technical issues that may arise.

     

    . The tasks you will undertake will include -

     

    • Ingesting and preparing data for multiple departments such as 2D, 3D, VR, Colour Grading, Editing (Offline/Online)/Flame and Motion Graphics.
    • Encoding, Transcoding and Broadcast Quality Control Procedures of received materials and outgoing master files and elements!
    • Data Wrangling
    • Cataloging and tracking of client owned Hard drives and peripheral devices coming in and out of the facility.
    • Archiving/Unarchiving projects to and from our digital Cloud storage and LTO Tape
    • Managing our Shared access Network (SAN) ensuring capacity is always at an acceptable level to meet our performance needs
    • Workflow advice and implementation
    • Well versed and informed of emerging technologies on the market to ensure we can always accommodate, manage, deliver and offer solutions in an ever changing environment.
    • Delivering campaigns worldwide across all platforms where a knowledge for global standards and delivery specifications are required for TV, Digital/Social & Cinema.

    Qualifications

     Candidates must posses a very good working knowledge of:

     

    • Client orientated service provisions, understanding our clients needs and exceeding their expectations.
    • Digital video/photo cameras, digital file formats (Wrappers/Codecs), data transfer and metadata entry and handling.
    • Adobe Suite - Premiere Pro, Media Encoder (and other encoding programs), Illustrator, Photoshop etc.
    • Conforming and troubleshooting EDL/XML/AAFs to guarantee a smooth workflow
    • Quality Control, feeding back errors to producers and Ops effectively to ensure a solution is implemented in a timely fashion.
    • Time management and estimations for managing workloads and informing producers/clients with reliable communications
    • Creating master TVCs adhering to delivery requirements
    • Subtitling masters, logging scripts, Social media master file creation, print based media, Cinema.
    • Clearcast legal timing checks for UK/ROI. submissions encoding for clearance of legal text and super imposed graphics/offers etc
    • Harding FPA test analytics, Cerify, Video Waveform monitor analysis and advising operators how to correct errors without compromising final output and quality.
    • Post production workflows, digital file formats, Global TV Standards, Apple OS X and knowledge of supporting a predominantly Apple based facility.
    • Cyberduck, Filezilla or equivalent FTP client, Aspera Connect, Signiant or equivalent large file transfer systems
    • Candidates with knowledge of Flame, Hiero/Nuke, VR, Davinci Resolve, Baselight, Scripting (Python, Applescript) and DIT experience will be looked upon favourably.
    • Ensuring delivery deadlines are met and master material is of the highest possible standards
    • The ability to communicate effectively with team members and external clients, ensuring the highest level of professionalism is upheld at all times.
